TX Summer Shootout Recap: $47,331 Paid Out Over Two Days

Cinch BRC's TX Summer Shootout ran two full days of breakaway roping across six divisions each day, and when the dust settled, the total told the story: $47,331 paid out between Day 1 and Day 2. Audrey Fish was the story of the weekend, banking Champion titles in three different ropings and closing in on $10,000 across the two days. Jean Poythress swept the top two spots in the #2 American Hat Shootout, and Braylyn Glenn closed out Day 2 with the #1 Smarty Shootout win and two fast times in the same roping.

Here's how it all went down.

Day 1

total feeds open — Lainey Gross Tops the open

Lainey Gross topped the Open at 18.36 on 3 for $1,285, with McKinley Croffut right behind at 19.50 on 3 for $855. Lainey backed up the win with Fast Time in Round 1 at 2.92, and Gracie Roseberry took Fast Time in Round 2 at 2.52. $2,540 paid out in this roping.

#5 Cinch Slide — Molly Boedeker Claims the Slide

Molly Boedeker topped the average at 8.66 on 3 for $1,800, with Rylie Edens 2nd at 9.19 for $1,080 and Zaylee Charmasson 3rd at 9.58 for $720. Rylie Edens claimed Fast Time in both rounds — 2.61 in Round 1 and 2.56 in Round 2 — but it was Molly who topped the average outright. $4,000 paid out in this roping!

#3 Priefert Handicap — Audrey Fish Sets the Tone

Audrey Fish opened her weekend with a win, topping the average at 8.24 on 3 for $2,290. Sadey Yates ran 2nd at 8.36 for $1,710, Zaylee Charmasson 3rd at 9.76 for $1,150, and Macy Moody 4th at 10.45 for $570. Audrey backed up the win with Fast Time in Round 1 at 2.12, and Jean Poythress claimed Fast Time in Round 2 at 2.44. $6,520 paid out total.

#2 American Hat Shootout — Jacklyn Pullen Leads Off

Jacklyn Pullen topped the average at 11.53 on 3 for $920, with Kolbie Neisius 2nd at 12.47 for $550 and Lily Williams 3rd at 19.76 for $360. Jean Poythress claimed Fast Time in Round 1 at 3.37, and Liza Johnson took Fast Time in Round 2 at 3.16. $2,430 paid out in this roping alone.

#1 Smarty Shootout — Kale Ruddy Tops a Tight Field

Kale Ruddy topped the average at 14.67 on 3 for $250, with Braylyn Glenn 2nd at 15.48 for $170. Sage Grizzle claimed Fast Time in Round 1 at 4.38, Braylyn Glenn took Fast Time in Round 2 at 3.92, and Cutter Grizzle closed it out with the Short Round Fast Time at 3.96.

Youth 12 & Under — Rayna Powell Claims the Youth

Rayna Powell topped the average at 10.96 on 3 for $570, with Charlie Sohrt 2nd at 11.25 for $340 and Kolbie Neisius 3rd at 11.52 for $230. Molly Boedeker claimed Fast Time in Round 1 at 2.91, Kolbie Neisius backed up her 3rd-place finish with Fast Time in Round 2 at 3.21, and Hardi Herring closed it out with the Short Round Fast Time at 2.34.


Day 1 paid out $17,650 across all six ropings.

Day 2

Total Feeds, Inc. Open — McKinley Croffut Answers Back

McKinley Croffut backed up the win with Fast Time in Round 1 at 3.07, and Kashlee Schumacher claimed Fast Time in Round 2 at 3.00. We paid out $3,740 in this roping!

#5 Cinch Slide — Audrey Fish Doubles Up

Audrey Fish didn't just win it outright at 7.80 on 3 for $2,190 — she also landed 3rd at 8.45 for $1,095, going a combined $3,285 in this roping alone. Molly Boedeker ran 2nd at 8.09 for $1,645, and Dylynn Dewbre placed 4th at 9.90 for $550. Kashlee Schumacher claimed Fast Time in Round 1 at 2.42, and Round 2 came down to a tie between Audrey Fish and Dylynn Dewbre, both stopping the clock at 2.67. $6,280 paid out in this roping alone.

#3 Priefert Handicap — Audrey Fish Completes the Sweep

Audrey Fish topped the average again at 7.70 on 3 for $3,374, with Molly Boedeker 2nd at 8.01 for $2,410, Dylynn Dewbre 3rd at 9.03 for $1,832, Kelsie Hunnicutt 4th at 9.38 for $1,350, and Brynn Coy 5th at 9.46 for $675. Audrey backed up the win with Fast Time in Round 1 at 1.93, Molly Boedeker took 2nd Fast Time in Round 1 at 2.57, Rayna Powell claimed Fast Time in Round 2 at 2.44, and Dylynn Dewbre took 2nd Fast Time in Round 2 at 2.51. We paid out $10,841 in this roping alone!

Between the #5 Cinch Slide and the #3 Priefert Handicap, Audrey Fish walked away from Day 2 with two Champion titles and $5,564 — closing out the full weekend with close to $10,000 banked across both days.

#2 American Hat Shootout — Jean Poythress Sweeps the Field

Jean Poythress swept the top two spots outright — 1st at 10.65 for $1,890 and 2nd at 11.02 for $1,350, banking $3,240 combined. Kolbie Neisius ran 3rd at 11.71 for $1,025, Jacklyn Pullen 4th at 12.27 for $755, and Taylor Polensky 5th at 12.54 for $380. Jean backed up the sweep with Fast Time in Round 2 at 3.31. Carly Gifford claimed Fast Time in Round 1 at 3.06, Brynlee Lyday took 2nd Fast Time in Round 1 at 3.17, and Jacklyn Pullen grabbed 2nd Fast Time in Round 2 at 3.58. $6,300 was paid out when it was all said and done.

Youth 12 & Under — Haze Stoll Claims the Youth

Haze Stoll topped the average at 13.51 on 3 for $510, with Rayna Powell 2nd for $305 and Gunner Overcash 3rd for $205. Kolbie Neisius claimed Fast Time in Round 1 at 3.11, Kaleb Ruddy took Fast Time in Round 2 at 4.13, and Hardi Herring closed it out with Fast Time in Round 3 at 3.83.

#1 Smarty Shootout — Braylyn Glenn Closes It Out

Braylyn Glenn topped the average at 11.24 on 3 for $540, with Sage Grizzle 2nd at 11.57 for $360. Braylyn claimed Fast Time in both Round 1 (3.91) and Round 3 (3.11) — turning in the fast time not once but twice on her way to the win. Sage Grizzle grabbed Fast Time in Round 2 at 3.77. $1,200 paid out in this roping alone.

Day 2 paid out $29,681 across all six ropings!
